How you found the book: Bought it at Word on the Street Toronto.
Opinion: I hated this book. But to be fair, I’m probably not the target audience. The protagonist is an older white rich male. I am… not. I cannot sympathize with him when he losses his riches and is at a loss on how to communicate with people without throwing money at them. His “change of heart” comes abruptly and much too late. It’s as if the editor said “Okay, he should probably stop being a jerk now, since there are only 20 pages left…” The quality of the writing keeps it from being a complete dud, however. With a stronger plot or protagonist, I’m sure this author can produce great books.
