Chapel of the Immaculate Conception. This is a smaller chapel in the Basilica, dedicated to the Virgin Mary. The inscription on the fence in front of the Pieta loosely translates to, “You who pass, see if there is any pain like mine.”

Ste Anne de Beaupre Basilica. I’m not Catholic but I did have the opportunity to attend Mass here. It took my breath away. The time and dedication it must have taken to complete the structure is inspiring.

St. Joseph’s Oratory. This church was very different from Notre Dame’s Basilica. It is much sleeker and has a streamlined, modern look. I felt a sense of history rather than wonder.
